- Between the ages of 18 and 45 – Applicants over the age of 45 have been accepted in the past and are handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Native English speaker – Applicants are required to be fluent in English.
- Non-degree holders can teach English in Thailand, however, one has to be a degree holder to teach English in South Korea, Myanmar and China.
